Gallant Reflection HU is a charming, young stallion that was Reserve Champion of his 70-Day Stallion Testing. A handsome son of Galant du Serein, he has superb gaits with natural uphill balance, elasticity and a quality walk. This attractive boy scored ten for character and nine for rideability during the test. These scores came as no surprise as his sire was known for a superior work ethic. Gallant Reflection’s confirmation, movement and pedigree suggest success both for performance and in the breeding shed. In 2014, he will join Olympic medalist Lisa Wilcox in Florida and compete in the FEI Young Dressage Horse Program.

Gallant Reflection’s father, our charismatic Selle Français Galant du Serein, excelled at the top of international sport in dressage. He competed at the Olympic Games, World Equestrian Games and the FEI World Cup Finals. As a sire, he was equally as accomplished, although with limited breeding. Galant du Serein produced two licensed sons, out of only four colts, before his untimely death. Galante HU, Galant du Serein’s first licensed son, is currently a Grand Prix showjumper and also stands at stud for Horses Unlimited.

Galant du Serein’s grandsire is the French legend Double Espoir, named French sire of the year on multiple occasions. He fathered many licensed offspring including Apache d’Adriers and the popular Flipper d’Elle, a frequent member of French National showjumping teams. Double Espoir is widely known as a “sire of sires” and producer of Olympic medalists, Nations Cup, CDI and CSI winners.

Gallant Reflection’s dam EM Rohmanie is by the extraordinary Rohdiamant. This sireline hardly needs introduction. Rohdiamant is descendant of Rubenstein and Inschallah and carries noble blood recognized for producing some of the most successful horses of our time. For generations these bloodlines have proven themselves with countless top international dressage horses, top auction sellers and extraordinary athletes. The combination of Rohdiamant on the bottom, with the powerful pedigree of Galant du Serein on top will bring an exciting mix of blood to the pedigree for a variety of mares. With one foal to date, Gallant Reflection HU should add refinement, correctness, a willingness to work and elasticity to his offspring.
